How can I use these screen shots in my blog post or article?

You may find a number of interesting screen shots of various new software product releases in the What Is New section. If you intend to write a blog post or article about those new features, you may find it very handy to pick one or more of those images and use them in your article/post/website rather than creating those images by yourself.

To use an image in your blog/article/website, follow the steps given below:

  1. Right click on the image and select Copy Image Url option
  2. Paste the URL to the desired location in your post/article.
  3. You might need to adjust the image dimensions. This can be done by modifying the image URL. For example, the following image URL serves a 500x500 version of the SSMS 2012 splash screen. http://beyondrelational.com/images/images.ashx?id=2440acc968f14ad2b861d47c37a71e2b&w=500&h=500. You can change the w (width) and h (height) parameters to request an image of the desired size. Assuming that you may want a 138x253 version of the same image, the following URL can be used: http://beyondrelational.com/images/images.ashx?id=2440acc968f14ad2b861d47c37a71e2b&w=138&h=253
  4. We would appreciate if you acknowledge the source of the image in your post. But if you prefer not to do it, we will still be friends!
