Welcome September

Sep 24 2009 1:13PM by Rui Carvalho

We are in the mid of September and I am back to TSQL Challenges world after some (quite long) holidays. I am very pleased to get back to Sql world, and finally, I think I am more Sql junkie than I thought. I really miss all of that ;-).

During the holidays TC Team continued to work hard and we are now closing TSQL Challenge #13. We are currently publishing the winners for TSQL Challenge #10, and finally the next challenge #14.

TSQL Challenges is growing with new members in the team and I would like to welcome again Brad Schulz again in the team. You can find an interview of him here: http://beyondrelational.com/blogs/ssctb/archive/2009/09/24/sql-server-challenges-interview-brad-schulz-joins-tsql-challenges-team.aspx.

We are also finishing the organization of the “TSQL Challenges for beginners”, which aims to help people in a simpler way than the one in TSQL Challenges which is more focused on expert problems. You can find more information here: http://beyondrelational.com/blogs/ssctb/archive/2009/09/07/announcing-a-beginners-version-of-tsql-challenges.aspx.

To Finish this word about the team, don’t forget to read the story of Jacob about how he moves to Sql World: http://beyondrelational.com/blogs/jacob/archive/2009/09/23/sql-quiz-my-journey-towards-the-sql-server-world.aspx.

To conclude, as I come back from holidays and finally get some time to organize my photos, let me share with you a short mix of them. That’s not about TSQL, but I want to show you some places where we went. Mainly Portugal, a country that most of you don’t know well and which is my main home from holidays since it is the place from where my parents came from. I invite all of you to visit this fantastic country ;-). I also take some time to visit the Broceliandre forest in Bretagne, France which is the home of Merlin the magician and the legend of king Arthur. Even if I didn’t see any fantastic creature here, it is a place with a very specific atmosphere.

I hope you will continue to have fun with us in TSQL Challenges. As usual don’t hesitate to contact us for any question, comments, challenge ideas, help and so on!

cheers!
