I shared my wonderful experience at PASS Global Summit 2009 in my recent blog post. One of the very exciting experience was a surprise meeting with Rui Carvalho at a cross street in Seattle.

We are working together on the TSQL Challenges project since its humble beginning almost an year back. We always wanted to meet, but could not ever make it. Since both of us had plans to attend PASS 2009 Summit, we were hopeful to spend some time discussing future TSQL Challenges and a few other community activities.

What was more interesting is the real meeting took place much before the scheduled time. We were supposed to meet in the evening but met in the morning, while trying to cross the streets near the Washington State Convention Center. I was staring at him and told my friend Pinal, “Hey, is that not Rui?” and he came to me asking “hey, are you Jacob?”.
