BI Daily : Connect to SQL Azure using SSRS 2008 R2
SQL Azure has gone live and now users would be charged to using the same. We already saw in my previous article how to read and write data from SQL Azure using SSIS 2008 R2, and Jacob suggest one nice application of the same in a real world scenario.
SSRS has a lot of enhancements that are added to the 2008 R2 version, and this technology also can take advantage of SQL Azure. But there should be a slight different approach in a report development with SQL Azure than the approach one would take in developing an SSIS package. Check out the below article which explains how to connect to SQL Azure using SSRS 2008 R2, right from development to deployment.
Shyfully enough, but again this time I am blowing up my own horn and this article is authored by me. BTW, the previous article that I authored on How to read and write data from SQL Azure using SSIS 2008 R2 is my 2nd article featured on SSIS community buzz.
